    3. Civil War Research <http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/> CIVIL WAR SOLIDERS AND SAILORS SYSTEM provides list of those who served in the Civil War, Regiments, Cemeteries, Battles, & more. I had some information for my Civil War relatives before this site came on line, making my research on the site less complicated. However, this evening I checked the link, using only a surname and found a very long list of individuals with the surname i chose. I used the same surname for those who served in the Union Army, and then the Conferdate Army.
