    1. [TXBELL] How to Get Copies of Distribution of Will in Bell Co. in 1897
    2. Sharon Clark
    3. Hello, Can anyone tell me how to get the settlement papers on the estate of my gg-grandfather, Daniel C. Goode, who died 7 Feb 1897 in Moffett, Bell Co., TX? I have a copy of his will, dated Feb. 20, 1893, and he mentiones his children, and the four children (who would be his grandchildren) of Parthenia and Alonzo Clark. My grandfather was the youngest child of Alonzo and Parthenia Clark. Parthenia died in AL in Oct 1875, ten months after my grandfather was born Dec. 22, 1874. I am trying to prove that my grandfather was Parthenia's son. He wasn't born for the 1870 census, and she was dead by the 1880 census. I have a letter he wrote in 1931 to perhaps lawyers (Messrs. Rose and Sample) who were apparently working on the behalf of Mrs. Viola Loviette, who was my grandfather's niece. In the letter he states: "Mrs. Viola Loviette has a little interest in some estate in Bell Co. in Texas. That is Grandpa Goodes estate. Your mother's part is $132.59 the land has been sold and the money is on deposit at Belton, Tex. I. N. Goode is the administrator, his address is Moody, Tex. Write to I. N. Goode, Moody, Tex. for the papers to sign. That is all they have to do the money is on deposit at Belton, Tex. Mrs. Wildry Clark Garrett died in the month of Feb. 1898." Wildry Clark Garrett was my grandfather's older sister. If Mrs. Viola Loviette had a little interest in the estate in Bell Co., I am assuming my grandfather did, too, and I need copies of the distribution of the estate. Is there anyone who can get these for me? I will be happy to pay for this. If there is anyone who can help me, please let me know. Thank you, and have a good evening. Best wishes, Sharon Clark Fort Worth, TX [email protected]
