Hi Joe, I am happy you did go look. I have changed my email address it is ladysherry@uswest.net I am looking forward in getting the information from you. Do you still have my snail mail address? Sincerely Sherry Davis-Ellis Sherry, Saw that you might have gotten some conflicting information abut J.G. Payne being at the McDowell Cemetery. We have not finished that inventory, but based on the email we took a ride out there. The information on the tombstone is: J.G. Payne Husband of Carrie M. Payne died 5 March 1897 aged about 76 years His many virtues form the noblest monument to his memory We took some pictures. Tombstone is very dark and may not turn out. Will net you know when they are developed. We always carry a camera. Can't say for sure when we will get out there however. Please send me you mail address and we'll send the pictures when we get them developed. There are no other Payne's in the cemetery according to our partial list. We'll check when we go out there however for others.
