Eagle Springs is listed in the Handbook of Texas and is still listed on most maps. http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/view/EE/hte3.html The Eagle Springs Baptist Church is still standing with a state historical marker (see the Texas Historical Commission's online atlas of markers on its site).
