Just reminding everyone that there is another Bell County Sesquicentennial event coming up next month, Charter Oak Election Day. It will be on Saturday, April 22. At 11am, there will be a celebration at the renovated courthouse in Belton, including planting an oak tree. At noon, there will be a family picnic at Yettie Polk Park (one block West of the Courthouse). And at 2pm, Bell County Museum's Sesquicentennial Exhibit opens one block north of the courthouse. I plan to make the drive down to Belton for these events. Anyone else attending? For more details, see: http://www.vvm.com/sqc/charteroak.html Joe D.
