He fought for the Conf. Army from Montgomery County, AR and moved into Bell County TX after the civil war. He was born in TN in 1844 to James Woods and Ann Earp.

John Harvey Woods (Sept. 3, 1844 Feb. 25, 1925) and Carolina Tweedle, were married in 1866 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
