My GGGF was Jeptha Hembree who died in Bell County in 1916. He had an older brother David who was a preacher in the Buckhorn Community. The state of Texas cannot find a death certificate for Jeptha although his headstone says he died in 1916, and his brother died in 1921. Does anyone know if there is a will index in Bell County so I can try to find out if Jeptha even left a will? Or is there anyone who can do a lookup for me? I would also be interested in David's will. Thanks in advance, Lucy Stewart
Some counties have records of deaths...not sure about Bell, but Williamson Co. does. You might also try the spelling EMBREE to locate your death certificate. Gayle H.
