    3. Hello, Could anyone tell me where I would go in Bell Co. to obtain copies of marriage records from 1879 and 1880? I'm not sure whether it would be the county courthouse or the probate office as it is in some counties. Would I need to write a letter to the or could I place a call to them to obtain the records? Somewhere online there's information about buying them, but I forget where--I think the Texas Department of Health might sell them. They may be available from Ancestry online with a subscription.

The largest is likely Pleasant Hill Cemetery: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txbell/cem/pleasanthill/ I see a lot of Cox burials there, but not a Potter. (Not to say he's not really buried there.) G. W. Potter G. W. Potter, 76, died last night at 10:45 o'clock at the family home, 317 West Avenue G. The end brought eternal rest from a long period of suffering, deceased having suffered a stroke of paralysis some time ago. He is survived by his wife and six children: Mrs. W. H. Roberts of Moffat, Mrs. J. C. Cox of NOlanville, Mrs. W. Campbell of Corsicana, Mrs. S. I. Lawtherback of Valley Mills, Frank Potter of Los Angeles, Calif., and Will Potter of Temple. The decedent had lived here for 34 years and had been connected with the Santa Fe all of that time until he suffered a stroke of paralysis four years ago, from which he never recovered. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ this afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. John E. Dunn. The pallbearers will be selected from his Bible class. Interment will be at Nolanville Cemetery.
