I often refer to the Handbook of Texas Online when I'm trying to locate a county. Just type in the county name, and an article will come up. The first few sentences explain the county's location, county seat, and surrounding counties. It's always a big help to me! http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/ Amanda -----Original Message----- From: mld71124 [mailto:mld71124@dukenet.us] Sent: Tuesday, August 01, 2006 4:24 PM To: TXBELL-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [TXBELL] Obituary Lookup/Hooper Try this for a list of counties. The one I knew would have been Lola Eugene, but since she went by Jean, I had no idea that was her full name. She was a beautiful girl, a year or two ahead of me in school. One year she was voted either Most Beautiful or Football Queen, I don't remember which. I might have known about the little half sister, but don't remember her at all. ----- Original Message ----- From: Butch9436@aol.com To: TXBELL-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, August 01, 2006 11:44 AM Subject: Re: [TXBELL] Obituary Lookup In a message dated 7/31/2006 8:42:26 PM Central Standard Time, franceswilless@sbcglobal.net writes: I didn't know him, but went to school with his younger sister.
