    1. [TXBELL] 1926 death of Jane Collins
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CkB.2ACI/2323 Message Board Post: I am reposting my query asking for assistance from eight months ago .... is there anyone who can help ? Have been seeking burial place (cemetery of record) of Sarah Jane P. Collins for a very long time. Sarah was born 3-4-1844 in Polk Co. and died 1-4-1926 at her home in Rogers ,Tx. , Bell Co. Her full name was Sarah Jane Parthenia Coursey-Collins , she went by Jane Collins mostly. Her death certificate states her address at the time of her death as being R.F.D.# 3, Rogers,Tx. The death certificate states this as being in Milam County not Bell County however. We believe she was taken to Milam Co. for preparation and returned to Rogers for burial as the certificate states the place of burial as Rogers but gives no cemetery name or further info. The certificate bears the name of her grandson I.J.Mankins as relative at same address. The certificate states the undertaker as being W.B.Skinner & Sons.We hope to also find her husband Johnson Collins when we find Sarah Jane. They had lived most of their married life in Georgetown (Williamson Co.) and Sarah Jane had only lived at this Ro! gers address for a little over a year when she died. We have searched for many years for their burial location (cemetery) but have had no luck. Is there anyone out there in Bell County who does cemetery surveys for the tombstone transcription project that may have seen these names ? ........ or have any info on this at all ? (also have this message posted on Milam Co. board & have inquired in Williamson Co. numerous times) Thank you ....... a fellow surveyor from Angelina County.

    3. Civil War Research <http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/> CIVIL WAR SOLIDERS AND SAILORS SYSTEM provides list of those who served in the Civil War, Regiments, Cemeteries, Battles, & more. I had some information for my Civil War relatives before this site came on line, making my research on the site less complicated. However, this evening I checked the link, using only a surname and found a very long list of individuals with the surname i chose. I used the same surname for those who served in the Union Army, and then the Conferdate Army. 3. Amanda, Could you do a lookup please for William Hite Davis? I don't have the name of his unit, but he lived in Clarke County, Alabama at the time of the War. Thank you, Nancy Harwood

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Fritz, Cooksey Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CkB.2ACI/2237.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Amanda, I used the link you provided for the names of interest for me and it came back with the front cover of the book, but no way to find out where in the book they are listed. Could you look up the name: Samuel Cooksey(served in MS) The other surname name that I got a hit on was Fritz. It would be Charles, Christian, Martin or Phillip. There were other Fritz' in Bell Co at that time, but unsure if any relationship to mine. Thank you for your kind offer, Rayedene
