This was said to have been first full military service in Temple during period of WWI. The procession was estimated to be 5 to 6 miles long with burial at Oenaville Cemetery. (Or anywhere in Texas, really!) My Great Aunt was Johanna "Jane" Bacak, who married Frank W. Kabella in 1890 in West, McLennan County. Their children included: Frank, Joseph , Henry, Mary and Albina. I understand that there was a Kabella Plumbing business in Temple, and that son Henry Louis Kabella and his wife Albina [Slovak] Kabella passed away in Temple, but are now buried in St. Mary's at West.
