We are missing many Kittrells, particularly those that descend from female lines which are lost to history on first marriage and a few that still bear the name Kittrell. We are also gathering as much photos, obituaries, and all other available e-information and scans on our Kittrell family as is possible. While doing so we are linking up with many families who had a Kittrell marriage somewhere in some branch. Please write and send us any Kittrell document involving any Kittrell descendant whatsoever and it will be added to our collection. The area of the future Gates County of North Carolina is the origin in the USA of the largest Kittrell family and Bertie County, NC was the home of one or more of the next generation, and later they moved on through Craven, Pitt, Granville, Carteret, Davidson and other NC counties as land grew too scarce for the number of male heads of household to feel that they could prosper. We lose track of some of the female Kittrell lines consistently in every generation and would like to add them back to the family tree. The name has many spellings through the centuries in public record including as examples only Kittrell, Kittrel, Kitrel, Kitrell, Kitterlin, Kitterill, Kitterell, Kittrelle,..., leterally dozens or literally dozens depending how well you spell such things. We will assist anyone on Kittrell matters (for free of course, free other than the wealth we get from both of us sharing some of what we know). And we will be most pleased to find more missing links broken from our tree due to distance and change of generations to those who barely know a whit of their Kittrell kin.

Wow, that was posted in 2005! I have information on Frances Slovacek, who married Joseph W. Batla, Sr. on 31 Oct 1893 in Fayette County, TX; having children Joseph Jr and Louise. The parents of Frances appear to have been Stephan and Mary Slovacek. My primary interest in Joseph W. Batla, Sr. and his wife Frances, is because a family verbal recollection says that my Great Grandmother Anna [Batla] Bacak was the half sister to this Joseph, Sr. I have been trying to find additional information to attempt to sort out who Anna's mother was. It is believed that Anna Batla was born in 1868 in Jablunka, Moravia. (Near the village of Vsetin.) She could have been the eldest (known) child; Joseph Batla being next. I could speculate that Anna was born of her father's first wife who perhaps died in Moravia. Though I'd like to confirm it, it also seems that Anna and Joseph's father (Johann Batla) was then married to Anna Hlubik. Johann and Anna [Hlubik] came to the US in 1870: Arrived 2 Jun 1870, from Bremen to Galveston. (She married Frantisek Bacak on 28 Oct 1884 in Fayetteville,TX, and died from pneumonia on 1 May 1903 in Elk, McLennan County, TX. If you can be of any assistance in shedding some more light on the matter of Joseph and Anna Batla's parents, I'd be most appreciative! You are welcome to email me directly: martin1019@cox.net Sincerely, Richard

I'm looking for a relatives of Nina M. Fuller and Hassie O. Fuller. About 1990, they provided information about the Fuller family in Bell Co, assembling material for a family book. Is there anyone who can help me? Thank you, Gayle Fuller Boggess Katy, TX
Hi Charles and other Mabry Researchers, This link is for John Mabry of Tn and the site includes lots of "best guesses", but, one of his children was Benjamin Mabry who seems to fit the bill for our Benjamin. It shows Benjamin was born in Tn around 1884 which would match up with the census of Ms for 1850 showing him to be 66 at that time. The site shows him to be married to Sally Thornton or Sarah Byrd??? The site also shows him to be in Ms during the right time. If this is the father of Thomas L. mabry and Carter Mabry then there is lots of early Mabry family history shown on the site. But, there are lots of "best guesses", "ifs", "and if we can assume" included so I have not taken any of it for fact, but, it is the best I can find. I am planning on lots of genealogy excursions this summer and I could drop by tomake copies. I have a few things I could copy for you too. I have Lucinda's bible which shows grandma and her brother's births. I have a copy of a page from Henry Clay Hart's bible. I also have a copy of John J. Hart's civil war military record. My GrGrGrandfather Thomas L. Mabry is the Thomas listed in the 1850 Ms Census, and, therefore Carter is his brother and Benjamin is their father.Thomas L. Mabry is 21 years of age on the 1850 census and Thomas L. Mabry was born in 1829 in Ms, thus, 1829 plus 21 equals 1850 Thomas married Sarah Maranda Graham, daughter of Reuben Graham and Nancy roberts, in Ms prior to their move to Tx. One of Thomas and Sarah's children was Amanda Jane Mabry who married James Thomas Underwood in Bell county and they are the parents of my grandmother Dora Matilda Underwood who married Thomas Patton Eager in Bell County. One of their children born in bell County was my mother Hazel Louise eager who married my father, Rudolf John (Petrek) Patrick in Bell County prior to their move to Calhoun County, Tx around 1940. Tryon was liv in Lincoln Co TN in 1818 when he sold property on 29 Jul 1818 and 3 Aug 1818. Between 1818 and 1820 he moved to AL because he was listed as head of household in the 1820 St Clair AL census and later moved to Talladega Co AL when he died. Tyron's estate sale was dated 1847 and brought $1,498. William H McGuire was the executor who signed the sales document on 15 Mar 1847. In addition to furniture and household items, livestock and farm implements, 9 slaves were sold. Among the 24 buyers were his daughters and sons-in-law: Isaac Lawler, Sally Simms, James Jackson Foreman, Sybert A. Fuller, William S. Fuller and Nancy Ray. The 1880 census you mention is Caldwell County not Burleson. Mary's, the mother and wife of Benjamin, birthplace was crossed thru. Hard to read the birthplace of John R's and Samuel's parents birthplaces. In the 1870 census they are in Caldwell Co, Lockhart Post Office, page 130, HH 877-889. Lists: Benj, age 67 born SC Mary, age 61 born GA John R., age 22 born TX Samuel, age 19 born TX HH 877-890 next door: Susan, age 37 born AL Walter P, age 17 born TX Benj, age 15 born TX Wm, age 13 born TX Annie, age 12 born TX Joseph, age 7 born TX HH 878-891 next door: Jasper, age 24 born TX Matilda, age 1 born TX. I didn't find them in the 1860 in TX. I was checking the Heritage Quest site, maybe someone could search Ancestry if a member. Gayle Fuller Boggess Katy, TX
