    3. Regarding the cemetery off Hwy 36: The Moffat Cemetery is located right on Hwy 36 about two miles before (southeast) of the long bridge that one must cross on the way to Gatesville from Temple. I've gone fishing on the other side (northwest) of the bridge, but I don't remember seeing an Owl Creek Road. Next time I am in the area I'll take a look. Thanks for the nice introduction, Bill, and thanks for the various welcomes from my fellow subscribers. You may have seen me on here under my eaze.net address during the last few months. I suppose I should say a little about myself. I am 33 years of age, single, and currently living in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I have had several years of experience in maintaining listservs and webpages. I have been working on my genealogy for about a year now and have only recently published some of it on the web. Starting about 1870, three generations of my Deaver ancestors lived in the Belton area in Bell County, around Taylor Valley. I have been down to Belton a few times on research trips and found an abundance of information. There are some Deaver descendents still living in the Belton and Temple area. There are still some places to check out and I hope to return soon. Although I have considerable technical experience, it will take me a little while to adjust to doing things the Rootsweb way. Bill has been gradually handing things over and explaining procedures. I'm sure I will be asking questions for a few weeks. I appreciate everyone's patience during this transition. There won't be any immediate changes to the website, but I will do my best to keep the surname list and queries up to date. If anyone has any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to drop me a note! Joe D. Deaver Coordinator-in-training, Bell Co. TX http://ancestry.deaver.com ancestry@deaver.com

    1. [TXBELL-L] Hastings info
    2. Bill Bost
    3. Hi, I hope you have time to check on something for me. I am searching for a grave site for Permelia Hastings in the Wilson Valley Cemetery, I was told that there was a listing for her being buried there. A cousin of mine said she saw it when she was in a library in Waco. I located H N Hastings (he was Permelia's husband) in the listings showing June 21, 1816-January 6, 1892. Can someone tell me if Permelia's was overlooked? Also, is this cemetery close to where someone is?..if it isn't, is it possible to get a photo of his (or both, if her's is there) tombstone? I know this is a lot to ask but it is a long way from MS to come & take it! :-) I would be more than happy to reimburse someone for the photo & postage. Permelia & Hezekiah were my great-great grandparents. Thank you for having this information available to all us frustrated family seekers.
