    3. Robin, I found all kind of Wilki(e)sons but no W B or William Bowen from Kentucky. I only had time to search 1870 and 1880. I will watch out for him next time I am in the 1900 census. There was a family of Wilkirson in Beat #3 in Bell in 1880...J. B 64, P 54, C J 19, D 19, D 22....Don't you hate it when they use initials.. this is on page 324. 3. Nancy, I found several Harris'--but no John W or J W.....and no Minnie or with the children you listed... If you will send me whatever info you have on this family I will watch out for them...There are some Harris buried in Reeds Lake Cemetery. Sorry I didn't find your John W. What was Minnie's maiden name? I know the frustration of elusive ancestors. We have our David Underwood in Grimes County in 1850, Brazos in 1860, he was with Elmore's Regiment in Galveston in the CSA, can't find him anywhere in 1870 and have him in Bell County in 1880 where he died in 1883 and is buried in Reeds Lake Cemetery. On Sept 22,1863 the Commissiioners' Court Subdivided the County into 10 commissary beats, for better suppling the needs of the families of the Soldiers in the Confederate Army and appointed superintendents in each beat as follows Beat 1-Abner Kuykendall and Alonzo Beeman Vickie
