    3. That's really exciting! Wish I had something concrete to contribute for my birth year in Belton - 1921. It'll surface soon. Meantime I'll be looking for the Henry Kirchner family and offspring Kirchners (sons), and Vannoys, Shines, and Savages (daughters), all of whom had fairly large families. Bessie Merle (Betsy) Kirchner-Holt. I anxiously await all your emails. Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: Joe D. 3. Sherry, Here is something that you might try. While researching at the court house in Bosque Co. I ran across a death book. It was used to record deaths including cause of death before the state required death certificates. It is sort of like a journal with one lines extending across two pages. Information about each death was recorded on one line in the book. It may not have all deaths in the county recorded, but I did find my great great grandmother listed. Point being that Bell Co. might also have such a book. 3. Carol, What a nice gesture. Think I will take you up on your offer. Have you run accross these names in your search there? 1. Sarah Jones and Lee Sterling Stuart? or Bolden Green Stuart and Carrie Jones? This would be in time frame of 1896- for Bolden and 1903 for Lee Stuart. Many thanks for making such a kind gesture for us researchers.

    1. RE: [TXBELL-L] 1880 Census
    2. Joe D. Deaver
    3. There is only one census (1860) online for Bell County and it is still in progress. The West Bell County Genealogical Society has it at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txwbgs/1860.htm One of my the projects I hope to start this year is soliciting volunteers to transcribe the various census records for Bell County. Several of the TXGenWeb counties have a good relationship with SK Publications, a company which digitizes census pages onto CD. I am currently gathering the specifics on the project, which I will post soon and see what our users here think about it. Joe D.
