    3. Thanks to a lot of hard work from volunteers Mary Duke and her mother, we now have a brand new inventory for Roberts Cemetery near Troy: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/tx/bell/cemetery1.htm Mary has also put together a cemetery plot map for that one. I am about halfway through updating the Roberts Cemetery page and should have it online by tomorrow evening. (It's been online a few years and needs a total revision and relocation.) Thanks again to Mary and her mother! Joe D. Deaver TXBELL Coordinator http://www.rootsweb.com/~txbell

It is a 2 Vol. set. It is in our library and I'm sure in many libraries. I can't remember what is on the front of the book, but I think it is published by one of the genealogy societies in or around Bell Co. I just have copied pages from it. Sorry I could be of more help with your Copeland/Hendrick families. This old John Hendricks was a traveling man in his time. He went with the 49er's (1849) to California looking for gold. Ha! Ada

He was only Julia's second husband and they never had any children together. As far as Hendrick goes, William Darling was married to Martha Bowlin who is Julia's daughter from her first marriage to William H. Bowlin. I was hoping to find more info on both Julia and her daughter. Martha died in 1900, but Bell County apparently didn't start keeping any kind of official records until 1903 so my only hope was to get info from folks like you who might have family letters, bibles, etc. Thanks for your response! Surnames: Moore/Copeland/Gibson/Land/Hendrick Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CkB.2ACI/1957.1 Message Board Post: Bell Co. TX., book, show that William Darling Hendrick was born in 1861, s/o of John Hendricks (b. 1796). John Hendricks would have been 65 yrs old when W. D. was born. This information also shows Sarah Hendricks-Land, d/o John's settled in Bell Co., TX.. An old letter states Sarah and husband John Land moved to TX. but never unpacked the wagon. They didn't like it out here in TX., and went back to Alabama after a month. Sarah Hendrick-Land is buried in Alabama. My grandmother was Mary Elizabeth Copeland (Bettie) b. 1871 AL., d/o of Ruben and Nancy Jain Gibson-Copeland. Bettie and husband, Sylvester Moore followed the family to Bell Co., TX. ca. 1895. I have letter from a Jasper Copeland from SC, where he wrote his cousin Bettie Copeland-Moore and signed it Cousin Jasper. His sister Laura wrote a note to her on the end of the page. Just thought it interesting that you have a Jasper Copeland in your research too. My Jasper was born in the 1870's SC. I wonder if they were kin? I don't know much about this family, either. The "Darling" name is in both Land and Hendricks families. Ada
