Eddie Chambers, our mystery fellow, whose date and place of death are unknown and whose grave has not been found, was the son of Washington Chambers, whose death certificate says he was buried 12/11/1933 at Utley. The death certificate does not say what or where Utley is. It could be the name of a cemetery, a church, or a town. Genny Chambers, one of the granddaughters who is looking for him, says that it is a very small town - possibly not even incorporated. It sure doesn't show up in Yahoo, where one can normally locate all businesses and organizations of every sort in the region. Can people please tell me what cemeteries are located in or near Utley? And how to contact them. We found and used the Bastrop County cemeteries list at the genweb archives, but no listing for an Utley cemetery, and no Washington Chambers. If his son Eddie died only a few years later, he could well be buried in the same location as his father. Washington Chambers died peacefully in old age of complications of a leaky heart, and he was a farmer and a landowner.
