    2. There has been some confustion as to where the bulletin board links have gone. Ancestry and Rootsweb became one. In doing so they decided to merge the bulletin boards. It is going through a transition at the moment and the kinks are being worked out. You will no longer find the individual puzzle pieces but will find one link. You can search the bulletin board and will get all the information on the name you put in that appears on all of the prior bulletin boards. Sometimes you cannot get to the information as their server has crashed a few times in the past few days or there is too much traffic. So hang in there until everything is worked out. Once it's fixed you will be able to search a name on a specific site or on all of the sites. You don't have to register to search, but have to when you submit information. The reason for this is that when you change your email it will change it for all prior messages you left in the past. That's a cool function so you don't have to contact each place you left a message in the past in order to change your email address. I also changed the site around some. I had frames but that doesn't work for everyone so I changed it to a straight list and that wasn't desired so I put the table format back up. Hope this works for everyone, knowing we all have different computers, browsers and internet service providers. Don't overlook the usgenweb archives. This is fully searchable. Go to the following link and look at what's there or put in a name and search. If you have information you would like to post, email the volunteer that administers the site. One valuable piece of information is the death, birth, marriage and divorce links. Use the search engine and it will quickly search these sites for you. One thing, I saw an error where my grandparents names are slightly wrong attached to my Uncle's name on the birth index. Yes, I'm sure he's their child. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/tx/bastrop/basttoc.htm Have a safe and Happy Fourth of July.
