Dear Michele. Yes, I have a James Williams who came to TX from AR and MS in about 1850. He was married to Sarah Jane Masters from MS when she was 16 yr. in 1848. They are found on the 1850 Caldwell Co., TX census with son Thomas age 2 of MS. They resided back and forth between Bastrop and Caldwell Co.s. James and Sarah are buried in Pettytown Cemetery in Red Rock, Bastrop Co., TX. I have not found any tie to Brooks or Earvin Wms. Thanks for the reply, maybe we can find a link somewhere.
