Hello List. I have found James WILLIAMS on the 1910 census of Bastrop Co. He may have been there way before that. Does anyone have earlier census that show James,b. 1825 wife- Sarah Jane MASTERS b. 1830. Their Childen: Jonathon b. abt. 1846, Thomas b. abt. 1848, William Frank b. 1850 m. SANDERS, G.M. Green b. 1854, Sarah Jane b.1855 m. SANDERS, James Robert b. 1857, Mary Ann b. 1859, Elijah b.1861, Isaiah Bartholomew b. 1862 m. SANDERS, Nancy Ann b. 1865 m. James C. My great grandmother was Monterrey Williams. I only have a little about her family. James Williams born (?) from Pike Co. AL married Keziah (?). They had a son, Earvin Yancey Williams who was born about 1825 in AL (?) and died (?). He married Eliza Carolina Hufham from Ramer, Montgomery Co. AL, on Aug 31, 1843 in Lavaco, Co. TX. To them was born my great grandmother Monterrey on Feb 13, 1859. She married Frances Marion Phillips from (?). They gave birth to my grandmother, Maggie Laura Phillips in 1883 in Bastrop Co., TX. She married my grandfather, Elanson (Lantie) Gillespie. I doubt that my James is the same James Williams you have listed. It would have made him around 100 years old.
