Rick, I hadn't heard of Beaukiss, Tx before so I did a search and found a map of where it is. http://www.geocities.com/Athens/3886/ This is the Lodge's website. Click on map to Beaukiss and you will see it is north of Elgin. It mentions a Hill City, too. Hill's Prairie is about 6 miles south of Bastrop on Hwy 304. When I took the pictures, I stopped by the Court House and old Jail and took pictures. There is an old tree stump with Gillespie's name and dates etched in it and I took a picture of that too. Will know tomorrow if they turn out.
