This letter is being written to request that you give Gaylon all possible support in his new endeavors. I know that he will fill the shoes of list administrator very well and will help to improve the list with all the new contributions. I want to thank all of you that have supported me in the year that I have served as list admin. Never once have I had to reprimand anyone for crossing the line between good and bad taste. YOU have been a very great group to work with. The problem has been and is the fact that I have no genealogical pursuit or research in Bastrop or surrounding counties. While I could give lip service to the duties assigned, the deep abiding interest just has not been there. I apologise for that. I wish you each and everyone all the best of luck with your future research. I know you will welcome Gaylon and lend assistance in any way that you can. You have been a great group to work with. Here's hoping that every stone you overturn will turn up a full dozen ancestors - just waiting to help you find more. I will be monitoring the list for a short time - just out of curiosity.
