This is my first posting to this list. I am searching for the ancestors of Erah Davis Elmore b 1892 in Bastrop County, Texas to William Davis and Margaret Elizabeth Perkins. Erah Davis married William Washington Elmore and at some point moved to Tulare County, California where she died in 1975. I do not know any further information on William Davis other than he died in 1948 in Collingsworth County Texas. Margaret Elizabeth Perkins b 1863 d 1937 was b to James and Margaret Perkins. No further information. The 1880 Bastrop County Texas index has the following: Perkins, James E D 14 168 Davis, William E D 11 108 Davis, William E D 14 167 Note the closeness in households of the Perkins and Davis. The 1870 Bastrop County Texas index has the following: Davis W B 515 Perkins John 512 Does anyone have any info on these families? Can anyone do a lookup on the 1870 and 1880 Census on the families listed? I would appreciate any help. Ive been searching for a year now and have never gotten any leads. Thankyou Paula
