An article on the community of Rockhouse Texas in The Handbook of Texas Online, states that when a "post office was established in 1871 the town lay in eastern Fayette County, but a boundary alteration not long after shifted it into Austin County." Does anyone have any information about the specific area that was moved from Fayette to Austin County and the year in which this happened.
