The article in the "Bellville Times" Chamber of Commerce insert reads: ----------------------- GENEALOGY: The Bellville Historical Society has established a Resource Center for genealogy research at 15 N. Masonic. The two coompuers, a printer and a scanner have been installed and four new bookcases. We have acquired a number of family histories, censuses for Austin County for 1850, 1860, 1870, 1900 and 1910, marriage records, naturalization records and cemetery records. There are two genealogy programs on the computers - Family Tree Maker and Personal Ancestry File. Contact one of the following three people to show you how to use these programs or to visit the center.
