I am seeking information on my wife's ancestors, the REINECKE and MARESCH families of Austin Co., TX. They came to Texas from Prussia/Austria in the 1850s to 1860s. As best we can tell, they settled in New Ulm and Industry, TX, according to the 1870 Census. They were members of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Frelsburg (in Colorado Co.), and while we can obtain microfilmed church records from church archival headquarters in Chicago, we are interested in whatever information exists. Fritz Reinecke and his wife, Franzesca (or A. Franzesca) Maresch Reinecke, had their first child in Dec. 1876. (Fred Mayes, fmayesjr@erols.com)
