I descend from Newitt Cloyd/Cloud. In his grandfather Noah Doddridge's will in Clarke County Alabama, he and his brother are listed as Newt and Hiram Cloud. Noah had dealings with Joshua Cloud in Hancock Co. Ga. Newitt's first son was named Joshua. I am becoming more and more convinced that the last name should have been Cloud. Newitt's daughter Ophelia married Noah Cloud. My ggggrandfather James Stephenson's league of land is where the Byler Ranch is now in Austin County. There were countless land dealings between members of my family and Jeremiah.
