He married a Catherine Oley here in Lafayette, Indiana October 28, 1858. We think he might have not given his right birthplace because at that time you were supposed to have permission to leave Germany. There was a large community of Germans here in Lafayette and a lot of them were from Wuerttenberg-Baden. Thanks for the reply, if the dates fit for his birth February 1855 I would be interested.
