Since he settled in a German community I feel he had slipped out of Germany. He was born in 1835 and came to America in 1854. We know nothing about his parents or siblings and seems he took that info to the grave. If you have any places of birth or dates close to his birth date I would appreciate any information I can get. He married a German lady from Baden. Thanks in advance.
