Buck, I found the following: Samuel Shelburne and family moved from VA to Williamson co., TN. His brothers and families also moved there and owned land on the Big Harpeth river near the town of Franklin. About 1835 John Hardin, Williams family and Sameul's families moved south to Lauderdale co., AL where they settled briefly. In 1837 they organized a wagon train and came to Texas thru LA. They settled in Austin county TX. There were several families that travelled with them. Not all listed in this book. Mary Jane Redford b ca 1827 Williamson co., TN;died ca 1910;bur Salem Cem., Llano co., TX;m 5 Aug 1847 in Austin co., TX to Hilliard I. T. Terry b 1824 AL;d 1870-80;b Llano co., TX; son of Micajah Terry and Mary Bethany. They had 8 children. Sarah Jane Terry (b 23 Oct. 1848 Austin co., TX; died 10 April 1904 Coleman, TX) married 18 Jan 1866 Austin co., TX to Wilson Phillips Their children: 1. Maranda Phillips (b 12 Jan 1867) married Solomon Frank Andrew Weathers 2. Medora Phillips married Martin Francis Jarrell 3. Rufus Wilson Phillips m. Edna Jones 4. Alice J. Phillips (b 1871) 5. Mary Ellen Phillips m Joseph Porter Davis 6. William Henry Phillips (b 1875 Milam co., TX) married Mary Sally Cooper 7. Nancy H. Phillips - died as infant 8. John A. Phillips (b 1878; died 1896) 9. Susan Pearl Phillips (b 2 Sept 1881 Milam co., TX: d 2 Nov 1946 Yoakum, TX) married 24 Dec 1905 Brownwood, Brown co., TX to Frank H. Hughes (b 4 Aug 1869;died 27 July 1948, son of William and Caroline Hughes) They had 6 children a. Rose Mae Hughes b. Lemuel Lawrence Hughes c. Amelia Hughes d. Icy Hughes e. Ocy Hughes f.
