Dorothea Katherine Kiesewetter b. abt 1816 married Frederick Mewis abt 1838. They came to Bellville from Perleberg/ Wilsnak area of Prignitz, Brandenburg Prussia with 3 children, Karl, Dorothea (Dora), and Louisa in 1847. 3 moe children, August Fritz, John Arthur, and Mary were born to them in TX. Dorothea Kiesewetter Mewis is my ggg grandmother. I have many desendants from the Mewis and Abel connections and would like to share information as well as learn more about other Kiesewetter "cousins" and hopefully, Dorothea's parents. It seems very unlikely that all the Kiesewetters in Austin Co would not be connected in some way. I would very much like to know if (and how) your Kiesewetter name fits in with my Kiesewetters.
