I know precious little. My grandfather, Karl (Charlie) Adolph Kiesewetter was one of many children of C.L. (no idea what the letters stand for!)Kiesewetter and Ida Dahns. He was born in Milhein and she in Nelsonville. I can't go back any further on him. That's why I'm searching. I have a little more on Ida's parents. My grandfather and his siblings that I knew are all passed away now so........My uncle is still living but he doesn't even know his grandparents names (as far as I know) much less further back. Any thoughts you may have on this would certainly be welcome as I seem to be the only one searching this branch (?). THAT seems odd to me as there were about 10 kids in this family.
