Posted on: Austin County, Tx Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/Austin/534 Surname: Strieter, Strieder, Jalloway ------------------------- I recently came across some old photos in my grandmother's album. They are pictures of children and a wedding picture all done at a studio called Nichols in Industry Texas. I believe that the wedding picture may be of one of my great aunts. I have two great aunts, Ottilia (Tillie) and Franciska Strieter who reportedly married two brothers. These two brothers were Tom and Frank Jalloway or Jaloway. If anyone has information on these families, any help would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks.

Posted on: Austin County, Tx Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/Austin/529 Surname: AUSTIN, BELL, CLOYD-CLOUD, DUKE, GARDNER, GREER, GRIMES, GRANVILLE, HAMMOCK, MCCRARY, MILLER, SMITH, STEPHENSON, WILSON, WILLIAMSON, YOUNG ------------------------- I am familiar with the Cheek, Atkinson family and realize that the Granvilles, Kings are buried in the Atkinson cemetery outside of Bellville. H Miles Young married Abigail Granville, d/o Benjamin Granville. Mathew Alexander Young married her sister Margaret A. Granville. I am very interested in the Nancy Young Reams connection of Spartanburg SC since Miles Young was born in SC in 1828. I trace my McCrary/Greer branch to Duncan's Creek, Laurens County SC. There the McCrarys intermarried with the Youngs multiple times. I am trying to trace these Youngs to the Youngs that came to Austin County Texas. Back in South Carolina Isaac McCrary married a King and I also descend from this line. Benjamin Granville's daughter also married a King. I am suspecting that these are the same Kings, Youngs etc. It is said that these families came together from Pennsylvania to SC then migrated to Georgia before coming to Texas. It is also recorded that the majority of these that came from Pennsylvania immigrated there from Ireland but came to Ireland from Scotland. The Grimes family is also traced back to Chester County PA but their origins as well as the Millers were from the area around Mannheim Germany. This branch came to Texas via Rowan County NC>Tennessee>TX. Please fill me in on your knowledge of this Nancy Young Reams of SC. Thanks. Betty Meischen bmeischen@earthlink.net Bellville, Texas
