    3. There are some complaints of birth records being put in the archives for people still living. I suggest that the archivists add this, either to the top or bottom of their USGeNWeb Archives Notice. Example: Lubbock Co. TX - Births, 1936 ==================================================================== USGENWEB ARCHIVES NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material. (Don't include this. LOL) We are going to keep putting them in the archives as long as they are available. David [email protected] David W. 3. I can understand the concern of those born during the years in which the mother's maiden name is being published openly. I still don't feel comfortable passing on that information to the Rootsweb archives, even if TXDoH has posted it publicly. Although some may disagree, perhaps the father's name alone would have been adequate. I suppose with all the cybercrimes going on these days, I just don't want to make it any easier than necessary for someone to steal an identity. I believe this to be so, even though I was born after 1950 and my mother's maiden name is not published. My 2.5 cents... Joe D.
