I have found that we can download those files from WPA Life Histories from Texas: http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/wpaintro/txcat.html on that page, click on LIST on top-left side of page and it will list 445 files, after that list, click Next at bottom of each list. This should also take you to the TX. Files: http://memory.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/S?ammem/wpa:@field(DOCID(@range(32050119 +37091410))) However, it a strange looking URL. Other States are listed here: http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/wpaintro/wpastate.html These were originally at the Library of Congress. I am not going to be in such a hurry to download the others, I set up nearly all night afraid the misc. files would be deleted, feeling greedy about getting them copied :-) I still have not uploaded to my pages. I went to this same page - http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/wpaintro/txcat.html and put in a search for Coke. When I put in Coke County Texas it brought up too many on County and Texas. The problem I had with the Coke name was that it did bring of mentions of Gov. Coke for whom the county is named. I had put those names of the people from Coke County on a page on the Coke County Website http://www.rootsweb.com/~txcoke/cowboy.htm I didn't put a link to them then because the URL seemed to change. I just had the URL of the Cowboy Memories so that they could find them. I do have them linked to the bios which are in the Coke County Archives. I will try to go back and change the file names to the appropriate number of letters and I will also look for the other counties that are mentioned in the bios and put that information along with the URL. It may take a while but that should be a help to everyone.
