I cannot believe anybody would complain about a file that is 2 kb, but here ya go. Would the person that uploaded this cemetery in January drop me a note? I wrote to the submitter at the sprintmail address, but it bounced back as user unknown. David ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Mon, 25 Jun 2001 09:59:08 -1000 (HST) From: David W. Morgan <dmorgan@efn.org> Subject: Question ... David ... One of my volunteers/looker-upers on the Milam Co., TX GenWeb page brought to my attention that the material contained in the archives for the Bushdale Cemetery is not complete for all of the burials in that cemetery and additionally was taken from the book "150 Years of Cemetery Records for Milam County, Texas" by Perry C. Holder who holds the copywrite ... Mr. Holder is now deceased but his daughter is the adm. of his estate and they do not release the copywrite except to allow us to give basic responses to queries /look-ups and we must include source as her father's book ... we have her permission to respond to individual questions abt. burials but not abstract of cemetery burials ... We do not wish to cause any problems with the Holder Family and have them withdraw their allowing us this basic response abilities ... The website in question is at: http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/tx/milam/cemetery/brushdale.txt I just wanted to bring this to your attention ... I do not know if you want to remove this information or post additional notice that some of the information was taken from Mr. Holder's book ... Lynna Kay -- Lynna Kay Shuffield P. O. David, I can not believe that anyone would complain about this either, such a small file. Isn't is possible that Gale Kennedy went to the cemetery and got the info from the cemetery office/directory...whatever? I believe that cemeteries have a plot map. If we can not contact Gail Kennedy, then I don't know what to do, hate to pull the file but will if you tell me to. This appears to be a third party complaint, not coming directly from the daughter of Mr. Holder, or at least that's the way I read it. However, it will probably be brought to MS. Holder's attention. I never heard of claiming copyright on info taken from family headstones before, that is really odd.
