I think King county was part of the old King ranch. Lots of livestock, no people. Loving county might have zero people, when you get that far. The King Ranch is in Kleberg & Kenedy County down on the gulf coast south of Corpus Christi. Kenedy is another one that has low numbers. If it wasn't for the Navy base in Kingsville, Kleberg would be a very sparsely populated. King county is almost in the panhandle. There are only 4 very small towns in King county. My late wife had cousins that lived on the King Ranch, when their mother died, their father adopted them out to the foreman of the ranch and took off. They never heard from him again. Gene
