The Election Committee would much prefer to have a full list of the membership posted on the site so that everyone could simply look and see if they are listed, however the Guidelines set up by the Election Study Committee prohibit this. It was felt (by the ESC) that if a full list was posted many people would feel that it was an invasion of their privacy. Thus the EC has to respond to each individual with an e-mail.
