Thank you so much. ******************** All e-mail containing voter's ID passwords have been sent. The bounces are now coming back in. Many bounces are due to "full mail box" messages. The EC has a procedure in place to work bounces but it will take a day or so to sort through and process them all. Questions about bounces, that cannot be resolved by the EC, will be forwarded to the volunteer's SC. If YOU have not received your password by tomorrow morning, please contact the EC. This will help us sort out bounces and also get the list corrected. Thank you for your understanding and help. 3. Did everybody receive their password? If you received a password for more than one address, don't use both! You need to let Keith Giddeon know at keith@giddeon.com If you are not a CC anywhere, you still can vote for the National Coordinator and the Representative-At-Large. The Archives representative for the next two years will be Vicki, as nobody ran against her. Here is what the letter from the votling place looks like. The election begins in less than two hours. 3. I am leaving for a short vacation. I will be checking email but probably won't have the resources to make changes to my webpages. So if you get any complaints, be aware that I won't be able to act on them. I just checked and my main email box has no size limit which is nice. So I won't have to worry about it getting full and mail bouncing. I just need to check this bellsouth account no and see if I can forward it to my other box. Gene

    3. Dear Gene, I can relate to what you are saying! I had a local librarian tell me that she would get a request for a look up on a name and she would give the query over to the local genealogical society that used the library as a free repository. After a time she got angry letters from people complaining that they received phone calls from one of the members of the genealogy society demaning money for doing the lookup that they gave to the librarian. So as a result of this, the librarian decided to stop using the local genealogy society and started directing people to the Texas GenWeb county site through the library internet connection for help as it was free, and she wanted nothing to do with a society that utilized free facilities in order to make money on lookups. Recently, I went to a county courthouse and requested info about one of my cousins that had passed some years ago, the courthouse then attempted to charge me money to look up the date of death. Just the lookup, not the certificate! I then told them not to bother as I was only attempting to confirm a date that the State of Texas had already offered on-line for free and I would not pay them for information that the state would not charge me for. They about had a fit! Your right! A lot of this stuff is about money -Darren

    3. A few times I have uploaded cemeteries into Fannin or Grayson Co.'s and then received demands to remove it immediately! Every word of the work was mine, and I had both the notebooks of my handwritten notes as well as pictures etc. In fact I had added info like middle names and maiden names when I knew these for sure as well as notes on unmarked graves. People still claim it was their work or their relatives etc. Right now there is a lady who wants to sue a relative if she submits the info that is on some tombstones to the Tombstone Transcription Project. I have explained to her the information on the tombstone is not 'owned' by anyone, Any one viewing the tombstone can write it down. Just like they could a street sign name and make a list. Most of the complainers are blowing hot air! It is such a selfish thing. Let's leave it until we get a complaint from Mr. Holder's daughter. It is really not worth fighting over. I can't believe somebody would complain about something so insignificant.
