    3. Mary Love, the stats did not update this morning. (grin) Rootsweb was moving stuff last night, so maybe that is the reason the stats don't reflect the 1 MB you and Larry uploaded to Smith County. It will all work out. 3. Larry - Thanks from all of us in Smith County and researchers everywhere for putting the 1880 Index together. These people helped to make this happen by indexing the images to the 1880 Smith County TX Federal Census: Melanie Alexander, Norma Beddingfield, Mary Love Berryman, Pat Childress, Nancy Crain, Carter Eggen, Scott Fitzgerald, Pat Galloway, Sunshine Knowles, Dan Milligan, Lawrence E. Oliver, Jeri Steele and Theresa Wentz. Thanks to S/K Publications for putting the Images in the Archives. This was truly a group effort! Thanks to everyone involved. These are not yet in the TOC but they will be tomorrow! David - This ought to blow your stats way up - 1304 kb total!!!!! 3. I see where Rootsweb has added post-ems to their Texas birth records database, so you can add or post corrections to their site. That won't change the official state records or the records we are uploading, but it would be helpful if folks post corrections or additions to the Rootsweb sites. Lot of folks use their search engine. I guess I should thank Rootsweb for making my job tougher. Now I have to use the Unix editor, ex, to globally delete the words Poste-ems and Add, before I cut and paste. LOL David [email protected] David W. Would any of you that are Texas CCs be willing to write to the Texas SC and ask him to put the following amendment to a vote of all the Texas CCs? http://www.usgenweb.org/official/amendments.html#archives It is sponsored by Maryland and Georgia is a co-sponsor, although GA is not listed on the web page yet. Tim, the SC, must be having more phone problems. The last I heard, there were only 3 no votes in GA. And if you have any pull in Oklahoma or Arkansas, you might contact those SCs. I will write to Trey, but I hate to be the only one. There needs to be 5 states, total, to sponsor before it can be put on the ballot for all the CCs to vote on it. I don't even want to mention the other two amendments that already have 3 state sponsors. yuck. David [email protected] David W.
