    3. Kent Brunette, the CC of Robertson county, has kindly donated the birth, death, marriage, and divorce records that he has done and has on his county web page. I just uploaded the birth records for Robertson that we did not have in the archives. (grin) So, we can skip Robertson county on future uploads. The birth records (1926-1949), deaths, marriage and divorce records are already done. If you do go ahead and do records for Robertson when you are doing the other counties, I don't think you will overwrite the files that are already there, as I have used a somewhat different file name from what we have been using.     3. Marcella, thanks for the offer on Access. I am still learning.... but slowly it seems. Every time I want to make changes or start a new year of birth records, I have been going back to the library to get the books on MS Access to find out how to make it do what I want. I forget what I did by the next time I want to use it. This is the first time I have messed it up after I got it working for the first time on the current year. I guess I deleted something or hit the wrong key or something.... I really don't know what happened. I have the records loaded into the mdb file and the table made that contains all the records for 1942. I had a query designed so that it would pick all births for a county (based on the name of the county placed under 'criteria' in the county column in the design mode of the query. The query would place the results of the search in a table which could then be exported to a 'XLS' file for that particular county. Then I could change the county name and run the query again. This is where something got corrupted. I still have the Table with all the records and I still have the query, but when I run the query it tells me that MS jet engine can't find the query or the ??? table. Don't go to much trouble... I can always go back to the library and get the books again and build the dBase again. I do appreciate the offer of help, and if you know a quick fix I will certainly be grateful. I don't think I will lose anything that I've already sorted, I just have to get Access working again so I can finish the remainder of the counties for 1942. Sorry I took so long to respond to your offer, but we have been out of town for a week and have been trying to catch up on everything happening since we left. And everyone told me when I retired that I would be bored.... hahahaha, not yet. Thanks loads, Sonny

    3. Gloria, Yep... I really THINK it is 1944 and not 1942!!! I'm working on 1942 now, that is until MS Access cratered on me. Now I have to try to set up Access again to do the sorting for me. Sometimes I have a real problem getting it to do what I want.... I guess I don't know how to communicate with it. Seriously, I am still trying to learn how to operate such a powerful database program. I sometimes think I'm gaining on it until something happens... like today.
