Thanks you so much for your reply! It is the postoffice given by Amanda Spence when she applied for a pension in 1899. Her husband died April 1, 1889. Is there an old cemetery in that area that dates back to 1889? I am looking for a Bluford and Amanda Spence...certainly not a common name. Does Angelina County have a cemetery book? Thanks again. sd
In the book Cemetery Records Angelina County, Texas, Volume 1, 1846-1968 on page 138 there is an Amanda SPENCE, 22 Jun 1831 - 17 Jul 1906 [wife of B. Spence].
