I can go back a ways on my Coats line, but my line in TX came in the earlier 1800's and settled in the Nacogdoches Co., TX. area. A lot of them are still there. I also have 2 aunts by marriage that are from a Coats line in Nacogdoches Co. My grandmother was Sula Jane Coats. Her parents were Robert Coats and Lucy Jane Parrish. Robert's parents were Charles Madison Coats and Lucy Christopher. I don't know if that helps you or not. What Coats line are you looking for?? Maybe I have information or can find it for you.
