I am interested in finding out something about John and Elizabeth Moffett that were in Angelina Co. on the 1880 census. I would like to know what part of the Co. they were living in and if they usually took in boarders. My grandfathers older sister left Jasper Co. after the death of her husband, with a small boy , and is living with John and Elizabeth. Her name is Sallie Martin and the boy, Levi. Sallie had a older sister named Elizabeth that I can not find, but the age is way off. Sallie later married a man named Wesley Jones. After his death, she married Thomas White and , lived until her death, in Nacogdocehs Co. Her mother (my great grandmother) left Jasper Co. at or about the same time, and went to Nacogdoches Co. I can[t imagine why they went off where there were no friends or family. Just trying to make some connection and find a reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
