They are actually my husbands family so much of what I have is from my Father-in-law. I have a Lucinda Barnes born February 3, 1830 in Mississippi to James Monroe Barnes (1776 Miss.)and Tabitha Hough(1791 Scotland). They married in 1810. Lucinda was the last child out of 9. James is the son of Josiah Barnes born around 1755. Lucinda Barnes married Robert Rotan December 03, 1846 in Chester, Tyler County, Texas. I only know one of their children, Lucinda Elizabeth Rotan. She was born October 11, 1853 in Chester, Tyler County, Texas. She married James W. Cliburn in Texas and had 5 children. Their youngest, Martha Elizabeth Cliburn was born December 12, 1873 in Chester, Tyler County, Texas. Martha married Andrew Jackson Hill on June 12, 1892 Union Springs, Pope County, Texas. Martha and Andrew are my husbands gggreat grand parents on his paternal grandmother's side. I have made a trip to Tyler and Pope Counties, I have info on where all are buried and some additional information on sibilings. I would love to share information on these families.
