The surname I am researching is CROSS. THis is my husband's mother's surname-not to much info as everyone is now gone. I do know that mom's dad was born in Redland, Angelina CO. I am looking for descendants of Eugene Valentine GATES and Elinor Belle CORNELIUS who were originally from Redwater, Bowie County , Texas. Elinor ran a boarding house in Diboll, near Lufkin around 1910. Her husband Eugene was hauling lumber when he was accidentally shot by a young hunter.
