Need a little help. I'm trying to learn the correct date of birth and death, of: Joseph Lewis or Joe E. BURCH, who died in Dec of 1955. I think he married Mary Ella Turner. My little information shows that this family lived in Burke, Angelina Co. TX. According to the TX birth records 1926-1949, they had a son, Joe Bill Burch, born Feb 1, 1930 in Angelina Co., TX If anyone has source books of births, death, marriage, & cemetery records, I would surely appreciate a look-up. I also welcome the web site URL, as to help me find the info for myself. Thanks, Sallie Cannon
What lovely photos! You are so lucky to have them!!! Although I am not connected with any of these folks, I am acquainted with the Gann family. Lorrie, I will check the Angelina County Robinson ASAP. In fact, I am related to some Angelina Co. Robinsons. Stranger still, my Robinson ancestor, about whom I know very little, married a girl in 1857 whose parents lived in Shelby Co. for a while before coming to Angelina Co. John F. Robinson married Jane Brown whose mother was Elizabeth Bozeman-Brown. They lived in Monroe Co. Ala. before coming to Shelby Co. TX. They settled in Angelina Co. mid 1800's. I have tons of info on all of them after that time but nothing on John F. Robinson prior to 1857. Let me know if you see a connection. Hi ya'll, I was going through my miscellaneous papers file and found a Widow's Application for Pension, originally filed in Mills Co., Texas on Sept. 2, 1909. It concerns a Wm. H. Thompson, private, Co. K, 2nd South Carolina Calvary, Confederate States Army.--enlisted June 6, 1861. One document in the batch states that Wm. H. Thompson was discharged on account of sickness in Va. given at Richmond, Va.,Nov.20, 1861. Other documents include an Application for Mortuary Warrant which states that Miss Willie Thompson, daughter of Mrs. Wm. H. Thompson (Mamie Lacy Thompson) is responsible for paying all accounts of the late Mrs. Wh. H. Thompson. --A Justice of the Peace held an inquest over Mrs. Wm. H. Thompson's body on August 9, 1935 and found the cause of her death was cardiac decompensation. (Dallas County, Texas). Any of this sound familiar to anyone??? http://jabe_fincher.tripod.com/JFincher/ Jabe Fincher--Pensacola, Florida

I am interested in finding out something about John and Elizabeth Moffett that were in Angelina Co. on the 1880 census. I would like to know what part of the Co. they were living in and if they usually took in boarders. My grandfathers older sister left Jasper Co. after the death of her husband, with a small boy , and is living with John and Elizabeth. Her name is Sallie Martin and the boy, Levi. Sallie had a older sister named Elizabeth that I can not find, but the age is way off. Sallie later married a man named Wesley Jones. After his death, she married Thomas White and , lived until her death, in Nacogdocehs Co. Her mother (my great grandmother) left Jasper Co. at or about the same time, and went to Nacogdoches Co. I can[t imagine why they went off where there were no friends or family. Just trying to make some connection and find a reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you; Francis _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
