She was born in NC in 1848, her first husband was Jimmy BARR. I have heard that he deserted the family. Her second husband was William "Billy" Monroe MATTHEWS. They had two children: daughter Jesse b. 1880 inTX and son John Edwin Swanson b. 1882 in TX.
