They lived on a "ranch" adjacent to the Trinity River. Emma Lohmann took three of her children back to Kansas Citry, MO, in 1895. I have two basic questions which I hope someone can help me answer. 1. It seems as if they would travel by rail to get to Kansas City. I believe that there was no railroad in Freestone County. Could they catch a train in Palestine to travel to and from Kansas City in mid 1895? 2. Mrs. A. S. F. Lohmann (Emma) became ill and died in August 1895.
