    1. RE: [[TXANDERS]] Railroads and medical care in Palestine in 1895
    2. I found an August Lahmon, 35, born GER GER GER in Fairfield in 1900 with 4 daughters, Selena, Annie, Katie, and Lavina and one son Willie. Are they related? They lived on a "ranch" adjacent to the Trinity River. Emma Lohmann took three of her children back to Kansas Citry, MO, in 1895. I have two basic questions which I hope someone can help me answer. 1. It seems as if they would travel by rail to get to Kansas City. I believe that there was no railroad in Freestone County. Could they catch a train in Palestine to travel to and from Kansas City in mid 1895? 2. Mrs. A. S. F. Lohmann (Emma) became ill and died in August 1895. Would she come to Palestine to get medical attention rather than going to Fairfield? Was she buried in Palestine?
